Recycled bedside table, beige
Recycled bedside table, beige
We have designed our Louie recycled bedside table to have a minimal aesthetic with clean lines and a simple structure; the perfect fit for any modern bedroom interior or as a contrast to a more traditional one. Our local carpenter in Holbæk cuts and assembles the bedside table from solid textile boards, manufactured in Denmark using textile waste. Afterwards, we varnish the surface for extra durability with a matt finish varnish.

What is recycled textile board?
What is recycled textile board?
Solid textile board is a high-density material made from end-of-life textiles and off-cuts from our supplier Kvadrat 'Really'. They produce the recycled boards in Denmark using a mix of cotton and wool, with the core mostly made up of white cotton textile waste from commercial laundry houses which would otherwise go up in smoke.
Producing the textile boards requires no water and no chemicals. This is due to the fact that all the textile waste is colour-sorted before it is shredded. Moreover, the strength of the textile boards is almost double that of MDF boards, which makes it a fitting material for small pieces of furniture such as bedside tables and wall shelves.
Our desire to save as much waste textiles as possible from unnecessarily incineration was how the idea for Amolia first came about. Therefore sustainability has been at the heart of what we do from day one. Read more about all the ways we try to be as sustainable as we possibly can.
